Perini Management Services, Inc. Receives ECIP Contract from U.S. Army Huntsville Center

Perini Management Services, Inc., (PMSI) received on September 30, 2013, a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract from the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The contract enables PMSI to bid for task orders under the Huntsville Center’s $600 million Energy Conservation Investment Program (ECIP). PMSI is one of the firms selected from an initial group of 46 that responded to the solicitation.

The task orders would entail design-build and/or construction of renewable energy and energy savings enhancements at government facilities located throughout the continental United States (CONUS), and at various locations outside the United States (OCONUS).  The program aims to achieve energy conservation primarily through the repair and renovation of heating, cooling, lighting, and utilities systems at facilities such as barracks, dining facilities, equipment maintenance facilities, laboratories, etc., and may also include installation of wind, solar, and geothermal systems.

The PMSI team includes AECOM a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets, including transportation, facilities, environmental, energy, water and government.

Robert Band, President and CEO of Perini Management Services, says “PMSI looks forward to assisting the U.S. Army to meet its goals for reductions in energy consumption, which will benefit the country through decreased facilities costs. We also support the Department of Defense long term goal of ensuring operational security through on-base energy production provided by renewable energy sources.”
